The Honorable Lujaina bint Mohsen Darwish
Chairperson of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC
The Honorable Lujaina bint Mohsen Haidar Darwish is currently the Chairperson of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC, one of the major business houses contributing to the growth of the Sultanate's economy. She has previously held prestigious and influential positions, having been a member of the Shura Coucil of Oman and a State Council member in 2015.
As well as being a member of the Advisory Committee for the National Leadership and Competitiveness Program, the Honorable Lujaina is a member of the Public Private Partnership Taskforce (Sharaka) at the Diwan of Royal Court. She is the Chairperson of Omani Italian Friendship Association and also a member of the GCC Women Forum. She was nominated as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2005. She is also an ex-member of various important organisations such as the Arab International Women’s Forum, the board of the Oman Chambers of Commerce & Industry, and the board of the Omani Center for Investment Promotion & Export Development.
Amongst a number of awards received throughout her career, the Honorable Lujaina has been ranked 18th in the list of The Most Influential Arab Women from Government and Family Business, ranked 24th amongst the 200 Most Powerful Women in Family Business, as well as being identified as one of the 100 Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen in the annual listings by Forbes Middle East for the years 2013, 2014 and 2016 respectively.
The Honorable Lujaina graduated from Sultan Qaboos University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
