HE Dr Ali Qassim

His Excellency Dr Ali Qassim Jawad Al-Lawati

Advisor for Studies and Research to the Diwan of Royal Court

From its launch in 2013, the Public-Private Partnership Taskforce (Sharaka), under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos - may God protect him - has prioritised Omani people development as key to strengthening public and private sector capabilities and so unlocking significant economic potential in the Sultanate. As a result over the last 4 years, the Sharaka team has introduced a number of program initiatives targeted at developing leadership, management and operational performance - the National Leadership and Competitiveness Program (NLCP) is the latest program to be launched, aimed at those Senior Government Leaders whose work is focussed on enhancing the business environment. As such the NLCP is designed to increase the national competitiveness of Oman as an exceptional international business destination.

The National Leadership & Competitiveness Program is partnering with the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School to deliver a high impact learning process, combining latest thinking and academic theory with practical application. The modular program integrates classroom-based development with international experiential learning. This will equip participants with the knowledge, skills and experience essential to differentiating Oman's competitive profile now and into the future.

In summary, we encourage you to immerse yourself in and commit yourself fully to this unique learning opportunity - the more effort you commit to the program, the greater the benefit for you as a leader, for your organisation and for the Sultanate of Oman as a whole.

On behalf of the National Leadership & Competitiveness Program Team
